Sorry. Correction. We cannot, since slice_start == slice_end == 0 should be interpreted as as no slice start and end.

to change it to :

"For these values to be meaningful, slice_start must
be non-negative and slice_end must be **equal to or**
greater than slice_start **and slice_start and slice_end not equals to zero**."

will be too troublesome and not worthwhile.
