The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Director's Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG) is chartered to:
  • to establish and maintain strong collaborations between NCI and the cancer advocacy community;
  • to provide recommendations to the Director of NCI in response to specific requests from the Director and the needs of the cancer advocacy community;
  • to serve as a primary forum for the discussion of issues or concerns and exchanging viewpoints that are important to the broad development of NCI programs and research;
  • to assist in developing and establishing processes and criteria for involving consumer advocates on a variety of NCI program and policy advisory committees.
