Information Theory Primer in Italian

Simone Baldi, a student in Computer Sciences at Milano State University has translated Tom Schneider's Information Theory Primer into Italian.

We got the document from Simone as a MIME protocol. Unpacked, this is in Word 6.0 for Windows format for the Mac. This shows up fine on our Mac, but using two Macs, two Sun workstations and a PC powerbook, we tried many variations to get this into LaTeX and none worked. The idea is to convert from "Wordy" to "WordImperfect" on the Mac, ship it over to a PC and then convert to LaTeX (a real typesetting language!) Supposedly, there is a conversion program on PC's that can do this. Supposedly, it can be found by searching for "latex" under the PC section of www.shareware.com. (First click on the green "search" and then use the MS-windows (all) with "latex".) If you can do the conversion, please send us the LaTeX file.
