Today, our nation’s foreign intelligence surveillance laws remain out of step with modern communications technology. I supported bipartisan legislation passed by the House that allows surveillance on calls made by foreign terrorists to foreign terrorists. In today’s information age, intelligence officials need these tools to keep our homeland safe, as they have for the past seven years.
