Sirius and XM are the only two satellite radio providers in the country. The proposed $4.57 merger of Sirius and XM would create one large company free of competition. This could lead to increased fees for customers. That is why I have joined my colleagues in sending a letter to the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Communications commission opposing this merger. Competition is the key to future success in the communications industry. |
