Bringing Brown’s Ferry Unit 1 reactor online means there are now six nuclear reactors in the TVA power system. The most productive and efficient energy system in America is the nuclear program at TVA in terms of reliability. Nothing else can match it. We need to build up our nuclear program in this country so we can reduce our consumption of coal, oil and natural gas. We need to clean up our air and work with the rest of the world to do the same, but it cannot be done without nuclear power. The question is who is going to lead the renaissance to nuclear? And the answer is TVA. |
