The recent media reports of substandard living conditions at Fort Bragg are disgraceful to our soldiers and this country. The brave men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan should be housed in top notch facilities.  I am committed to making sure our troops have the quality of life they deserve.

The Army is already addressing the problems at Fort Bragg and Congress is working to make changes too. Last year, Congress approved $20.6 billion for military construction accounts, which provides funding for new construction and improvements on our military bases.  We are making progress but we can do better. Thank you for supporting our troops.
