Contractors working overseas in countries like Iraq must be held accountable for their actions.  The recent incident involving Blackwater USA is unacceptable and is out of step with our mission of freedom in that country. 

That is why I supported the MEJA Expansion and Enforcement Act of 2007.  This legislation will ensure that contractors working for government agencies outside of the U.S. will be held accountable for offenses under U.S. Criminal Code.
