Technology is great when it is used to advance our society. Many Americans have come to rely on the modern convenience of cell phones. Unfortunately, some folks don’t know when to turn their phones off. Allowing travelers to talk on their cell phones on airplanes is simply a nuisance.

As a frequent flyer, I do not want to hear the constant chatter of other passengers’ phone conversations. That’s why I am a co-sponsor of the HANG UP Act, which would prevent the use of cell phones on passenger airplanes.
