Tennessee’s history is deeply rooted in art and music. The creative arts hold an important place in the world and in our individual lives. My older brother, Louis, is a talented architect, musician, and artist.
We should be doing more to protect works from unknown authors instead of making it easier for others to use their material. This is becoming more difficult in an age where so much can be accessed by the Internet. Hearings are being held to help Members better understand both sides of this important issue. I will follow the Orphan Works Act of 2008 closely as it makes its way through the legislative process.
