Housing

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the federal agency responsible for national policy and programs that address America 's housing needs and enforces fair housing laws. HUD provides educational information on home buying, homeownership, renting, and referrals to additional resources. The USDA Rural Housing Service administers federal loan and grant programs to help rural residents. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers many programs designed to assist veterans.

I hope the resources on this page are helpful to you in your search. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact my office. If you are having a specific problem with a federal agency and need assistance, information on how to open a case file can be found on my casework web page.

If your problem is with a state housing program administered by the South Carolina State Housing Finance & Development Authority , you may want to contact your state legislator for assistance, as the state is the governing authority.  As your U.S. Representative I do not have jurisdiction over programs funded at the state level.
