Changing Account Lock Status

An account is locked when a user exceeds the maximum number of tries to log on successfully or if the account is manually locked by the NIH eRA Commons system administrator. Users cannot log on to the system if their account is locked.

To change the account lock status:

  1. Query the account list as described in Querying Accounts.
  2. Click the Edit hyperlink next to the desired account to open the Edit Account page (ADM1003).
  3. In the Account Lock Status field, select the desired lock status.
  4. If desired, edit other account information.
  5. Click Submit to enter the changes.
    An email is sent to the account holder providing them with a full description of changes made.
