Acknowledgements

The initial dose calculator for I-131 fallout from the Nevada Test Site was developed, designed, and programmed by Jed Rifkin, PhD, and Andre Bouville, PhD, of the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services.

The dose and risk calculator for I-131 fallout from the Nevada Test Site (Version 2003) was revised by an NCI Working Group of experts in dosimetry, risk analysis, risk communication, mathematics and programming, web design and usability testing. Assistance with calculations, programming, and development was provided by SENES Oak Ridge, Inc. of Tennessee, working with Geomatrix Consultants of Oakland, CA using Analytica® software.

The Individual Dose and Risk Calculator for Nevada Test Site fallout is now supported by an Intra-agency agreement between the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Program on Medical Countermeasures Against Radiological and Nuclear Threats, NIAID agreement #Y2-Al-5077 and NCI agreement #Y3-CO-5117.
