GEDP Upcoming Features
The Gene Expression Data Portal (GEDP) hosts a variety of microarray experiments
from geographically dispersed laboratories. Researchers can submit experiments
for private or public view, retrieve publicly available experiments as
well as the associated experiment files, and download original data files submitted by researchers
or as XML documents based on the Microarray Gene Expression
Markup Language (MAGE-ML). Researchers can also compare and analyze experiments
via the XpressionWay tool which graphically illustrates the genes on the
chip and the cellular pathways in which the genes operate.
Upcoming Features
-
Enhance XpressionWay to support filtering and analysis of SAGE data (July
2003).
-
Gene Expression Data Analysis Workbench (September 2003).
-
CGH Viewer (September 2003).
-
Ability to modify experiments (TBD).
-
New user interface for easier submission, retrieval, and analysis (TBD).
-
Use of common vocabulary orginating from the NCI Thesaurus and MGED ontologies
(TBD).
-
Additional data elements supporting clinical studies (TBD).
