Org Chart Detail - Office of Research Information Systems (ORIS)

Functional Statement:

(1) Provides strategic, tactical and oversight direction for ORIS, ensuring alignment to OER, NIH, DHHS and OMB; (2) monitors all ORIS programs for cost, schedule and performance and demonstrates Earned Value Analysis; (3) oversees ORIS internal and external communications and the coordination of internal websites; (4) provides technical and analytic leadership for re-engineering the end-to-end activities of NIH extramural grants programs; (5) provides support and training to staff who use central information systems to transact extramural business; (6) maintains and supports the development and integrity of the NIH program in electronic research administration (eRA); (7) supports NIH governance in managing the information systems aspects of Departmental and Federal initiatives for integrating multiple systems for grants management; (8) provides alignment of enterprise architecture with the NIH/DHHS mission; (9) provides leadership in innovative approaches to knowledge management to meet the information needs of NIH; (10) publishes statistical and analytical reports, analyses and investigations on extramural and intramural grants.
