Order Form for Cryoarchived MMHCC Strains

Strain Name: B6.129S1-Cdkn2atm1(GFP)Cjs
Strain Number: 01XL7

This strain has been cryoarchived and is not being maintained as a live colony.

You may select to have mice recovered for you at NCI-Frederick. After their genotype and health status has been verified, live animals will be delivered to you. You will be notified when mice become available for shipping. Please expect to receive at least one mutant carrier within 16-20 weeks. There is no charge for the cryorecovery procedure. Please note that cryorecoveries may be performed in a facility that has a history of exposure to murine norovirus.

Alternatively, you may order frozen embryos and perform the cryorecovery in your own institution. (See bottom of form for more information).

Frozen embryos and mice recovered from frozen embryos are shipped by special courier. The recipient is responsible for shipping charges.

To place an order please select your preference (recovered mice or frozen embryos) and fill in the form below. Asterisks (*) denote required fields. Please use the tab key to move between fields.

All orders from the MMHCC Repository are governed by Material Transfer Agreements. To receive cryorecovered mice or frozen embryos you must provide an MTA, which must be signed by an authorized official representing your institution (e.g., technology transfer officer, grants/contracts administrator). After submitting the on-line order form, you will be brought to a confirmation page which has a link to the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) for this particular mouse model.  Please indicate the authorized recipient official at your institution:

Shipping Information

A Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) must be completed before shipment can occur (see below). Once the MTA has been received, the Recipient Scientist will be contacted by the MMHCC Repository to coordinate the transfer.

THE MATERIAL TO BE SHIPPED IS TIME-SENSITIVE SO IT IS CRUCIAL THAT THE SHIPPING ADDRESS IS FOR THE PERSON WHO WILL RECEIVE THE EMBRYOS.

Check here if shipping information is same as requestor's information.

Additional Ordering Information for Frozen Embryos

One or more vials (25-30 embryos each), along with one vial of C57BL/6NCr control embryos, will be sent to you in a liquid nitrogen dry shipper. The shipping container remains property of the National Cancer Institute and must be returned immediately. It is highly recommended the embryos be used for recovery immediately upon receipt. Storage of embryos after shipping may result in decreased efficiency of recovery. Click here to review the cryopreservation and recovery protocol.

The recipient is responsible for all costs associated with return transfer of the liquid nitrogen dry  shipper. Since the MMHCC Repository has no control over cryorecovery methods and procedures at the recipient's institution the MMHCC Repository will not be responsible for failure to recover live mice.

Please note that The Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, Maine) offers an annual workshop on "Shipping and Reconstitution of Cryopreserved Embryos": Courses and Workshops at JAX.
