Steering Committee to be formed for caBIG™ Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS) Workspace

caBIG™’s leadership of the informatics implementation of the National Cancer Advisory Board’s Restructuring the National Cancer Clinical Trials Enterprise Report is reaching a key milestone with the establishment of a Steering Committee for the caBIG™ Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS) Workspace. The Steering Committee, which is currently being assembled and is expected to be in place by January, will be made up of experts in the conduct of cancer clinical trials and in clinical research informatics, and will provide strategic guidance and coordination of all caBIG™’s clinical trials activities. Cancer Center Directors, Cooperative Group Chairs and other leaders in cancer clinical research have been asked to suggest qualified experts to serve on the Committee. caBIG™ looks forward to working with the Committee to ensure that the priorities of the cancer clinical research community continue to drive those of caBIG™.
