Male and female transgenics can be used as breeders, but because the transgene integrated into the X chromosome only female mice will pass it on to male offspring. Transgenic males develop low-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia progressing to high-grade PIN, microinvasion, invasive carcinoma and poorly or undifferentiated carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation. | ||
