Description: |
These mice carry an SV40 T antigen transgene driven by the rat probasin promoter. Male and female transgenics can be used as breeders, but because the transgene integrated into the X chromosome only female mice will pass it on to male offspring. Transgenic males develop low-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia progressing to high-grade PIN, microinvasion, invasive carcinoma and poorly or undifferentiated carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation. |
