This week families will gather to eat turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie. They will share stories and spend time with loved ones. As we all celebrate Thanksgiving, let's remember that we live in the greatest country in the world and have a lot to be thankful for. We are blessed to live in a society of heroes. We have men and women who are willing to travel halfway around the world to fight terror so that we can be safe. In this Holiday season we need to remind them that we miss them and thank them for their service to our country. These heroes are defending our freedoms so that our country continues to be home of liberty. Because their sacrifice and the sacrifice of generations before them, here in Americans we have the right to pray, own a firearm, and speak our minds. Because of our freedoms, we live in a country where every child has the opportunity to grow up to be a doctor, lawyer, or even President. Entrepreneurs open small businesses every day in America and have the opportunity to work for a piece of the American dream. We also live in a country that always rises to meet its challenges. No matter how tough the problem, American hard work and ingenuity allow us to overcome whatever obstacles we face. I hope that this Thanksgiving finds you and your family well. In this holiday season, it's just one more thing to be thankful for. |
