The Frog Leap Help Page!

Plan your moves so that you do not move two frogs of the same
color together IF the empty space will be behind them
and one or more frogs of the other color will be in front of them.

Apply that rule to each move in advance, and you'll reach the other side right away! But remember that experience is a good teacher too; so as the old saying goes, "if at first you don't succeed, try try again!"

The following sequence provides step by step assistance:

Assume the green frogs are G1, G2, and G3 (starting with the one closest to the center). Assume the brown frogs are B1, B2, and B3 (again starting with the one closest to the center).

  1. G1 moves forward
  2. B1 hops over
  3. B2 moves forward
  4. G1 hops over
  5. G2 hops over
  6. G3 moves forward
  7. B1 hops over
  8. B2 hops over
  9. B3 hops over
  10. G1 moves forward
  11. G2 hops over
  12. G3 hops over
  13. B2 moves forward
  14. B2 hops over
  15. G3 moves forward
  16. YOU WIN!

The color you start with can be reversed, of course.
