The National Cancer Institute Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research (OBBR) presents the

2nd Annual Biospecimen Research Network (BRN) Symposium:
Advancing Cancer Research Through Biospecimen Science

March 16–18, 2009
Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center
Bethesda, MD

Symposium Goal:

The primary goal of the symposium is to address the impact of pre-analytical variations in the collection, handling, processing, and storage of biospecimens on cancer research and molecular medicine.  The discussions of the 2009 symposium will highlight the solutions that have been developed to minimize these pre-analytical variations.

The meeting will feature expert presentations, interactive discussions and workshops from a broad range of stakeholders whose work involves biospecimens, including research investigators, clinicians, industry representatives, and patient advocates.
