Levin Response to State of the Union

(Washington D.C.)- Congressman Sander Levin (D-Royal Oak), chairman of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, issued the following statement in response to President Bush’s final State of the Union Address:

“While the bipartisan stimulus package referenced by the President is an important first step, he needed to sound a much a stronger sense of urgency about the need to change course to address our economic challenges here at home as well as the need for a more vigorous trade policy so important to U.S. workers and businesses competing in the global economy.”
