  • Charles River Laboratories
Charles River Laboratories provides research models and laboratory animal support services, preclinical services, and clinical services to the biomedical market. We are focused on improving human and animal health by becoming the premier global company advancing the search for drugs from discovery through market approval.
  • European Mouse Mutant Archive
The European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA) is a non-profit repository for the collection, archiving (via cryopreservation) and distribution of relevant mutant strains essential for basic biomedical research. The EMMA network is a partnership of several laboratories and other institutions throughout Europe.
  • FAQ regarding the NIH Statement on Sharing and Distributing Mouse Resources
  • Harlan
Harlan provides over 175 stocks and strains in a span of nine countries.
  • International Mouse Strain Resource
The IMSR is a searchable online database of mouse strains and stocks available worldwide, including inbred, mutant, and genetically engineered mice. The goal of the IMSR is to assist the international scientific community in locating and obtaining mouse resources for research.
  • JAX® Mice
JAX® Mice are produced according to the highest standards of animal health and genetic quality.
The collection of more than 3,100 strains expands each year. JAX® Mice offers a single source for both common inbreds as well as thousands of specialized disease models and genetically engineered strains.
  • JAX® Mice Cancer Models
The link offers the most recent strain information for Cancer Models, including current ordering and pricing information provided by JAX® Mice.
  • Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Centers (MMRRC) National Network
The MMRRC program is supported by the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH, DHHS). The purpose of the program is to ensure the continued availability of scientifically valuable, genetically engineered mice and to distribute these mice to qualified researchers studying human and animal biology and disease. A national network of regional breeding and distribution facilities serves as NIH's premier repository of spontaneous and induced mutant mouse lines.
  • NCI Mouse Repository
The NCI Mouse Repository is a resource for mouse cancer models and associated strains. The repository makes strains available to all members of the scientific community (academic, non-profit, and commercial). Strains are maintained as live colonies or cryoarchived as frozen embryos. Up to three breeder pairs may be ordered from live colonies. Cryoarchived strains are supplied as frozen embryos or recovery of live mice by the NCI Repository may be requested.
  • Taconic
Taconic employs over 50 years of expertise to provide genetically-defined, high quality rats and mice to the biomedical research community. Our experts are available to review needs, discuss desired outcomes, and recommend the rat or mouse model that will enable you to conduct the most efficient and reliable in vivo study.
