Ehlers’ Committee Assignments Announced for 111th Congress

 

Ehlers to focus on economic recovery, education improvements, advancements in science and research through committee work

 
 

WASHINGTON – Congressman Vernon J. Ehlers returns to three committees for the 111th Congress, and resigns from his position on the Committee on House Administration to focus on the heavy workload required of his other committee assignments.

 

Congressman Ehlers will serve on the following committees:

 

·         Committee on Science & Technology

o   Subcommittee on Research and Science Education, Ranking Republican

o   Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment

 

·         Committee on Education & Labor

o   Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education

o   Subcommittee on Higher Education, Lifelong Learning, and Competitiveness

 

·         Transportation & Infrastructure

o   Subcommittee on Aviation

o   Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment

o   Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation
