The Preservation Directorate is pleased to announce the publication of a series of informational pamphlets. The titles available in this series are:

Preserving and Protecting America's Library an illustrated description of the mission of the Library's Preservation Directorate and the scope of activities of its five divisions and two special programs.

The Deterioration and Preservation of Paper: Some Essential Facts a discussion of the nature of paper and, causes of its deterioration, and options for ensuring its longevity.
