I External Scientific Committee
The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) requires continuing collaboration and input from experts across a broad range of public and scientific areas of interest. For this reason, an External Scientific Committee (ESC) consisting of diverse experts in science, law, ethics and public health was formed to help inform the practices of TCGA.
The ESC is composed of patient advocates, senior scientists and clinicians with relevant expertise in cancer, genomics, and ethics. The members of the ESC are not principal investigators of a cooperative agreement involved in TCGA Pilot Project.
