In an article entitled "Sanguine Manner" by Laura Stephenson Carter and Sion E. Rogers published in the Summer 2005 Dartmouth Medicine magazine, the Angiogenesis Research Center at Dartmouth is featured for its multidisciplinary approach to angiogenesis research. As stated in the introduction, a better understanding of the process by which the body grows new blood vessels holds promise for treating a broad range of diseases. TARP is cited as another program using a multidisciplinary approach to angiogenesis research involving several NIH agencies partnering with each other and with other organizations.
