Clinical Trial Matchmaking Made Easy

"Applications such as BCT or any clinical trial matching programs that run on caMatch have the potential to increase accrual to clinical trials such that the duration of the clinical trial is shortened," said Cohen. "We’ll be able to bring therapies into standard practice in a much shorter period of time. It will benefit all patients."

"The faster a trial accrues, the better the design, the faster information comes to you about how to get better care. Tools like caMatch are going to make it easier for others in the cancer research community to make similar improvements because they now have the role models and tools to follow and use," said Laura Esserman, M.D., MBA, Professor of Surgery and Radiology and Director, Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center, UCSF. "We in the cancer research community want to be able to say every year I’m doing something better than I did last year: less toxic, more effective, better outcomes."

BCT was developed in partnership with the National Cancer Institute, the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Center of Excellence for Breast Cancer Care. The current BCT site is managed by UCSF.
