We utilize the UMLSKS authentication information for access to the restricted areas of the various Semantic Knowledge Representation Group's web sites.

If you already have access (either your own, or through someone you are working with) to a UMLSKS account, you can simply use that username and password to access the restricted areas of this site.

If you do not have a UMLS KS account, you will need to set up an account using the following steps:
  1. Go to the UMLSKS web site at http://umlsks.nlm.nih.gov.

  2. On the homepage, you should find a section entitled "New UMLSKS Users" on the right-hand side.

  3. Review the UMLS license agreement information thoroughly before proceeding.

  4. Fill in the request form as required and submit your request.
We retrieve the latest version of the UMLSKS authentication information every morning at 0200 Eastern Standard Time, so there may be some time delay between when you receive an account from the UMLSKS folks and when you have access to our restricted areas. If you have received approval and you have time constraints that don't allow you to wait until the next retrieval time, please contact us using the "Contact Us" link below and we will try to expedite the process.
