Swim with the Goldfish!

Clean water is important to every living thing. Plants, animals, and humans all need clean water for drinking, bathing, and hundreds of other activities every day -- and some creatures, like frogs, depend on clean water for their homes! But even for those of us who don't live in the water all of the time, the quality of our lives directly depends on the quality of the water around us. The little fish below is particularly grateful for the clean water he lives in! How about you?

Move your mouse over the goldfish bowl below,
and watch the fish follow your moves!
He'll even jump right out of the bowl for you!

The ocean covers more than 70 percent of Earth, yet it is the least understood ecosystem on the planet -- and it remains largely unexplored. Scientists at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), a world leader in the field of oceanography, have been probing the mysteries of the oceans for more than 65 years. You can explore with them!
