Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
Eyes--Exposure to liquid or vapors may cause severe eye irritation. Symptoms may include burning, tearing, redness, swelling, and eye damage.

Skin--Exposure may cause mild skin irritation.

Breathing--Excessive inhalation of vapors can cause nasal and respiratory irritation, central nervous system effects including dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache and possible unconsciousness, and even death.

Swallowing--Can cause gastrointestinal irritation nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Aspiration of material into the lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis which can be fatal.

People with pre-existing skin disorders may be more susceptible to the effects of this product. People with pre-existing respiratory disorders such as asthma, may be aggravated by exposure to this material.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Effects of Chronic Overexposure: Prolonged or repeated exposure may dry the skin. Symptoms may include redness, burning, drying and cracking, and skin burns.

Ethylene Glycol--Overexposure to this material (or its components) has apparently been found to cause the following effects in laboratory animals: kidney damage. Overexposure to this material
(or its components) has been suggested as a cause of the following effects in humans: liver abnormalities, kidney damage, central nervous system effects. Ethylene glycol has been shown to produce dose-related teratogenic effects in rats and mice when given by gavage or in drinking water at high concentrations. While there is no currently available information to suggest that ethylene glycol has caused birth defects in humans it is recommended that every effort should be made to prevent the ingestion of any ethylene glycol and to keep personnel exposure below the ACGIH TLV.

Mineral Spirits--Overexposure to this material has been suggested as a cause of the central nervous system effects in humans.
