These techniques to surgically "mold and sculpt" were enhanced and expanded over the years to include the following areas: Management of burns, including acute care and reconstruction; management of head and neck cancer; management of skin cancer; reconstruction of defects of any part of the body resulting from trauma and cancer treatment; management of deformities of the breast; management of fractures and other injuries of the face; management of birth defects involving all parts of the body including the skull, face and hands; microsurgery for reattachment of amputated parts or reconstruction following injury or disease; cosmetic surgery for beautification of the face, eyes, nose, truck, and other body areas.
