shRNA

The shRNA Validation Project

sponsored by the Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP) and the Cancer Gene Anatomy Project (CGAP)

The purpose of this joint project is to design, test and validate shRNAs for a set of high priority cancer genes. The validated shRNAs will serve as tools for researchers to target and modulate the expression of well-known cancer-associated genes.

Following the completion of the validation process, the sequence of the cancer gene-associated shRNAs were deposited into NCI's CGAP’s open access, public database.
