Data Access

Shared data will be available in NDAR beginning in the spring of 2009.

Access to NDAR data will be provided to scientific investigators for research purposes. An NDAR Account is required for all NDAR users whether submitting data or accessing data. An account can be requested on the NDAR portal via the "Request an Account" tab.

To promote the responsible use of NDAR data, all researchers seeking access, and their institutions, are asked to acknowledge their agreement with the NDAR Policies and Procedures by signing a Data Use Certification (DUC). Requests will be reviewed by the NDAR Data Access Committee (DAC) which consists of NIH employees with expertise in areas such as relevant scientific disciplines, research participant protection, and privacy protections. Researchers who have completed a DUC and received approval from the NDAR DAC are approved to access NDAR data.
