Warnings: Flammable. For external use only. Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a physician. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, immediately flush with water. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
Acute Overexposure: Moderate to serious eye irritant through direct contact, central nervous system (CNS) depressant through ingestion or inhalation.
Eye irritation--Stinging, redness
CNS Depression-same symptoms as drunkenness, i.e., dizziness, drowsiness, decreased awareness and responsiveness, etc.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Exposure to ethyl alcohol may result in injury to the liver with fibrosis. Repeated ingestion of ethyl alcohol during pregnancy has been shown to result in fetal alcohol syndrome.

Liver damage-loss of appetite, jaundice, sometimes pain in the upper abdomen. Due mainly to repeated overexposure via ingestion (drinking) of ethanol.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Pre-existing eye, skin and respiratory disorders. Pre-existing liver impairment may be aggravated.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has determined that the consumption of alcoholic beverages is causally related to the occurrence of malignant tumors of the oral cavity, pharynx, Larynx, esophagus and liver. The carcinogenic response attributed to drinking alcoholic beverages has not been verified in laboratory studies.

The use of ethanol in non-beverage items is not considered to pose any significant health risk.

Material is a characteristic hazardous waste per U.S. EPA regulations, ignitable (D001).

Recommend disposal via fuels blending or incineration in a RCRA approved incinerator. Third option is to landfill in an approved/permitted landfill.
