NIDDK Office of Minority Health Research Coordination (OMHRC)
Mission The OMHRC was created by the Director of the NIDDK in order to address the burden of diseases and disorders that disproportionately impact the health of minority populations. The OMHRC will help implement the institution's strategic plan for health disparities and build on the strong partnership with the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, NIH.

Strategic Plan on Minority Health Disparities NIDDK gives increased priority to support research and to encourage specific efforts in these areas of health disparity to advance the foundation of knowledge in the biomedical sciences.
Conferences and Workshops for minority research investigators
Network of Minority Research Investigators (NMRI) a communication network of biomedical research investigators and technical personnel from traditionally under-served communities: African American, Hispanic American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islanders.

National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities NCMHD supports basic, clinical, social, and behavioral research, research infrastructure and training, fosters emerging programs, disseminates information, and reaches out to minority and other health disparity communities.
