Potential Adverse Health Effects:
Likely Routes of Exposure: Inhalation and skin contact.
Eye Contact: Contact with LARIAT Flowable herbicide has been reported to cause eye pain, redness and tearing based on human experience.
Skin Contact: LARIAT Flowable herbicide may cause pain, redness and dry skin based on toxicity studies. Repeated contact with this material may cause allergic skin reaction in susceptible individuals. Monochlorobenzene may act on the skin and mucous membranes as a defatting agent to produce drying and redness.
Ingestion: No more than slightly toxic based on toxicity studies. No significant adverse health effects are expected to develop if only small amounts (less than a mouthful) are swallowed. Coughing, choking and shortness of breath may occur if material is accidentally drawn into the lungs during swallowing or vomiting. This product contains monochlorobenzene which, if swallowed may result in central nervous system depression, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and with more severe exposures, incoordination, and unconsciousness.
Inhalation: Inhalation of LARIAT Flowable herbicide may be irritating to the respiratory tract. Prolonged or excessive inhalation of the hydrocarbons in the product may result in central nervous system depression.

If on Skin: Immediately flush with plenty of water while removing contaminated clothing. Sensitized persons should avoid further contact and reuse of contaminated clothing. Get medical attention.
If Swallowed: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Give large quantities of water to drink. Get medical attention. NEVER GIVE ANYTHING BY MOUTH TO AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia. Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

Handling/Disposal

From MSDS
Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
Avoid breathing vapor or spray mist.
Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.
Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.
Remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.
Do not use or store near heat or flame.
 Use only with adequate ventilation.
Alachlor and atrazine have been identified in limited groundwater sampling and there is the possibility that they can leach through the soil to groundwater, especially where soils are course and groundwater is near the surface.
Users are advised not to apply this product to sand and loamy sand soils where the water table (groundwater) is near the surface and where these soils are permeable (well drained).
Groundwater contamination may be reduced by diking and flooring of permanent liquid bulk storage sites with an impermeable material.
This product may not be mixed/loaded or used within 50 feet of all wells including abandoned wells, drainage wells and sink holes. This product may not be mixed or loaded within 50 feet of intermittent streams and rivers,
natural or impounded lakes and reservoirs. This product may not be applied aerially or by ground within 66 feet of the points where field surface water runoff enters perennial or intermittent streams and rivers or within 200 feet
around natural or impounded lakes and reservoirs. If this product is applied to highly erodible land, the 66-foot buffer or set-back from runoff points must be planted to a crop or seeded with grass or other suitable crop. Where
there are state/local requirements regarding atrazine use (including lower maximum rates and/or higher set-backs) which are different from the label, the more restrictive/protective requirements apply. Care must be taken when
using this product to prevent back siphoning into wells, spills or improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixtures or rinsates.
Check valves or anti-siphoning devices must be used on all mixing and/or irrigation equipment. Disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixtures, or rinsate should be according to label use instructions or according to the state
pesticide or environmental control agency or the hazardous waste representative at the nearest EPA regional office.
Following application, and during rainfall events that cause runoff, alachlor and atrazine may reach surface water bodies including streams, rivers and reservoirs.
This product is toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not apply where runoff is likely to occur. Do not apply when weather conditions are likely to cause drift from treated areas. Runoff and drift from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters.
Emptied container retains vapor and product residue. Observe all labeled safeguards until container is cleaned, reconditioned or destroyed. DO NOT CUT OR WELD ON OR NEAR THIS CONTAINER.

From MSDS
Wastes of this pesticide may cause eye and skin irritation and may be dangerous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixtures, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of according to label use instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
Emptied container retains vapor and product residue. Observe all labeled safeguards until container is cleaned, reconditioned or destroyed.
Dispose of containers as follows:
Plastic Jugs: Do not reuse container. Triple rinse container. Then puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by incineration, or, if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.
Bulk Containers: Triple rinse emptied bulk containers. Then offer for recycling or reconditioning or dispose of in a manner approved by state and local authorities.
Product which has been contaminated or is not wanted and will be discarded is classified as hazardous under the Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and related state laws. Specific State and Federal requirements for handling and disposal will apply unless quantities are small and exemptions apply. State regulations may vary and State authorities should be consulted.
Soil, water and other debris contaminated with this product may have to be treated as hazardous under RCRA depending on quantity and whether or not the waste meets the ignitability criteria (flash point less than 140 degrees F) for hazardous waste.
State or Federal authorities should be contacted for appropriate handling and disposal methods.
