Opportunities for Type 1 Diabetes Investigators

The Special Statutory Funding Program for Type 1 Diabetes Research provides a total of $1.14 billion for research on type 1 diabetes and its complications for Fiscal Year (FY) 1998 through FY 2008. The Special Program has allowed the establishment of unique, collaborative, and innovative research groups, clinical trials networks, and research consortia. The purpose of this website is to provide investigators with information on program funding opportunities; the research consortia and networks; and research resources that have been developed by the type 1 diabetes research consortia.
