The purpose of this document is to collect, analyze, and define high-level needs and features of the NCI CBIIT caCORE Curation Tool Release 4.0.0.2. This document focuses on the functionalities proposed by the product stakeholders and target users in order to make it a better product. The use-case and supplementary specifications document will detail how the framework will fulfill these needs.
Vision and Needs
The objective of this release of the Curation Tool is to address curators top priorities for bug fixes and enhancements as described in their "Top 10" list. This release will address a simplified user interface to improve performance and customer satisfaction with the product. See Functional Requirements for details.

The Curation Tool will be enhanced in an iterative fashion to add features that are currently only available to curators using the Admin Tool.

EVS services are a critical component of the Curation Tool, providing programmatic access for constructing caDSR content.
