In an effort to revolutionize the way we detect, treat, and prevent cancer the National Cancer Institute (NCI) established the Office of Technology and Industrial Relations (OTIR) in the Office of the Director. OTIR is committed to accelerating the progress of cancer research through its technology-driven initiatives, collaboration with other government programs, and engagement with the private sector in the areas of nanotechnology, proteomics, cancer genomics, and biospecimen resources.
