Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP)
The Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP) is a new program within the NCI focused on the analysis of cancer as a complex biological system. A cornerstone of the program will be the development and implementation of computational models of cancer processes. The integration of experimental biology with mathematical modeling will result in new insights in the biology and new approaches to the management of cancer. The program brings clinical and basic cancer researchers together with researchers from mathematics, physics, information technology, imaging sciences, and computer science to work on key questions in cancer biology. The ICBP also plays a vital role in the emergence of the field of integrative cancer biology through a strong education and outreach program.

Cancer Imaging Program
The mission of the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Imaging Program is to promote and support:
- Cancer-related basic, translational and clinical research in imaging sciences and technology, and
- Integration and application of these imaging discoveries and developments to the understanding of cancer biology and to the clinical management of cancer and cancer risk.

Developmental Therapeutics
The National Cancer Institute’s Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP) plans, conducts, and facilitates development of therapeutic agents for cancer and AIDS. The DTP serves as a resource for research materials, including Web-accessible data and tools, vialed and plated compounds, tumor cells, animals, and Investigational New Drug (IND)-directed studies.
