Retrieving
Results from MIS
All results
of routine testing can be retrieved from MIS. RBC or platelet status
will say "selected" by the product number, or STAT will
be rushed when it is reported. A copy of the report will print on
the nursing unit.
Results of antibody
identification workups or special tests may be obtained by calling
the appropriate service.
Special Alert
Values
These
values will be called to the patient's physician:
A
positive transfusion reaction workup
Evidence of a delayed transfusion reaction
Inability to find compatible blood for transfusion
Confirmed positive
results for HBsAg, anti-HAV IgM, anti-HIV 1/2, anti-HCV and anti-HTLV-1.
