A transverse section of rat retina imaged following dual indirect immunohistochemistry. The section was decorated with anti-GFAP antibodies (green) and anti-IP3R2 (IP3 receptor type 2) (red). The optic fiber layer is at the bottom with the photreceptor layer out of the image and the Müller cell end feet are at the top. The Müller cell bodies are at the inner nuclear layer appearing yellow with long processes extending on both sides. The different layers of the retinal architecture are clearly visible containing neuronal cell bodies and processes stained only red containing IP3R2.
