Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
Inhalation: Vapor or mist can cause headache, nausea, and irritation of the nose, throat, and lungs. Preexisting respiratory, skin, or eye conditions may be aggravated by exposure to ethylene glycol.

Eye Contact: Slight (temporary) eye irritation. Corneal injury is unlikely.

Skin Contact: Irritating to skin upon repeated or prolonged contact. Repeated skin exposure to large quantities may result in absorption of harmful amounts. The dermal LD50 has not been determined.

Ingestion: The oral LD50 of ethylene glycol for rats is in the 6000-13000 mg/kg range. Amounts ingested incidental to industrial handling are not likely to cause injury; however, ingestion of larger amounts could cause serious injury, even death.
