Special Diabetes Programs for Indians

The Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) is a federal grant program that provides funding for diabetes treatment and prevention services at IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health programs. Since 1998, the Special Diabetes Program for Indians is the most comprehensive federally funded diabetes program for American Indians and Alaska Natives. Integrated Diabetes Education Recognition Program

The IHS Integrated Diabetes Education Recognition Program (IDERP) enables IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian diabetes programs to obtain national accreditation for their quality diabetes self-management education and care services through the IHS Division of Diabetes.
