NCI Intramural Faculties and Working Groups

NCI’s Faculties and Working Groups are composed of scientists from within the Institute’s Intramural Research Program (IRP), which includes the Center for Cancer Research and the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics.  Within each faculty and working group, NCI researchers from basic, epidemiological, and clinical research backgrounds are working together with a common interest in a particular scientific discipline, disease, or approach.  These groups have expanded and enhanced collaborations, interdisciplinary research, and translational (bench-to-clinic) science at the Institute.  In addition, some faculties and working groups include members from other NIH institutes as well as the extramural research community—academia, NCI Cancer Centers, etc.

To encourage communication among members and between faculties/workings groups, membership listservs are available for each group (internal use only). There is also a listserv of all faculty/working group chairs (see sidebar at left), to assist in communication among leaders of these groups.
