Washington, DC— Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald (CA-37) passed away Sunday morning at her home in California.  Congresswoman Watson issued the following statement:

“My heart breaks for the loss of my good friend and colleague, Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald.  Juanita personified dignity, grace, leadership and vision.  At a point in her career when she had risen to great heights, Juanita's passing is that much more devastating.  She left an exemplary legacy of which her family and friends can be proud.  We will miss Juanita but we will never forget the dedicated service she provided to her constituents and our country.”
