NIDCD RESEARCH CORE CENTER (P30) GRANTS RELEASE DATE: September 26, 2003 NOTICE: NOT-DC-04-001 (See Notice NOT-DC-08-001) National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) (http://www.nidcd.nih.gov) The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) announces updated administrative guidelines on the eligibility criteria and application process for NIDCD Research Core Center (P30) grants. The updated "Guidelines for NIDCD Research Core Centers (P30)" can be obtained on the NIDCD Home Page at: http://www.nidcd.nih.gov/funding/types/p30_2003.pdf This NIH Guide Notice and the updated Guidelines supercede all previously published announcements, notices and guidelines for the NIDCD P30. The P30 is an institutional award, made in the name of a principal investigator, to support centralized resources and facilities shared by investigators with existing research projects. The overall goal of a Core Center is to promote cooperative interaction among basic science and/or clinical investigators in a manner that will enrich the effectiveness of ongoing research and/or promote new research directions. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: As of the February 1, 2004 submission deadline, all applications must be responsive to the new guidelines. Applications will be accepted at the standard application deadlines, which are available at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/dates.htm. Application deadlines are also indicated in the PHS 398 application kit.
