About
What services does this resource provide?
The NIAID Clinical Proteomics Centers for Infectious Disease and Biodefense apply state of the art proteomics technologies for the discovery, qualification and verification of protein biomarkers in well-defined clinical samples collected for infectious diseases caused by NIAID Category A-C biodefense pathogens and emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Candidate biomarkers will be made available to the scientific community on the centers' web sites, where they will be freely available to the public.
Reagents generated by the Centers (e.g. clones, expression constructs, monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal sera) will be distributed by the Biodefense and Emerging Infections Research Resources Repository (BEI). (non-Government link).
