Warnings: This product contains chemicals known in the state of CA to cause cancer & birth defects or other reproductive harm. Caution: contents under pressure. Exposure to heat may cause bursting. Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 120 deg F. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Use adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, prolonged or repeated contact with skin . Avoid continuous breathing of vapor or spray mist. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Contains Methylene chloride which has been shown to cause cancer in certain laboratory animals. Risk to your health depends on level and duration of exposure. Intentional misuse by deliberate concentrating or inhaling the contents can be harmful or fatal. Keep out of reach of children.
Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
In an confined area vapors in high concentration are anesthetic. Over exposure may cause lightheadedness, staggering gait, giddiness, and possible nausea. Cardiovascular problems may be aggravated by overexposure to methylene chloride.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage, along with kidney and liver damage. Perchloroethylene has caused liver and kidney toxic effects in chronically overexposed experimental animals.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
Perchloroethylene has been identified as an animal carcinogen by NTP, but is not listed on the IARC or OSHA carcinogen list as of 8-31-85.
